I closed my psychotherapy practice at the end of June 2021 as I have relocated to Dublin, Ireland. I am still available to speak at community events or provide education, training, and consultation services. I also enjoy conducting research and serving as a clinical supervisor.

MY PHILOSOPHY & APPROACH

I believe that people experience challenges and distress; this is part of life for all of us. However, I also believe that people are inherently resilient and can learn to thrive in spite of adversity. As a therapist, I work with individuals to help them find their own answers and solutions to improve their lives and relationships. My goal in therapy is to provide a safe, trusting environment to help people examine what may be contributing to distress and identify strategies to increase meaning, purpose, and growth.
I see therapy as a collaboration between the therapist and the client; we work together to meet the client’s goals. As a therapist, I am warm, caring, respectful, supportive, and genuine. I am guided by professional ethics and completely committed to confidentiality. I believe that trust is key to any strong, productive relationship, especially a therapeutic relationship. I have been privileged to work with individuals who vary by age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, country of origin, socioeconomic status, religion, etc.
